I couldn’t have been more Lucky when this family chose me to be the Birth photographer for the birth of their third and last baby. I knew that I was in for an amazing experience after meeting them and hanging out with them at their home. They were a military family like mine and were so excited to be welcoming another boy!
I got a text sometime in the AM that she was heading to the hospital and I had been waiting so long for the call that I jumped up and down and ran to my gear.
If you are a birth Photographer, you know how anxious you get when you hear the first news that a mama is in labor and you get the adrenaline going. I think this might be a big reason why I absolutely love capturing birth stories.
I got to the hospital to find that she was close to getting to start pushing and she was just hanging out smiling chatting it up with me. When the midwife came in she ready to go and a couple pushes later I captured little baby D come into the world reaching out for his daddy already. Tears were Shed and cries were heard and it made my day to be there and witness it.
I got to go back a few hours later and capture baby brother and big brother meeting him and see the love and look on their faces as they looked at him and held him. Definitely nothing better then witnessing brothers meeting their future best friend.
Thank you to the N family for choosing me to share their special day!! At the end is also a Photo from their Newborn session that was published in the local paper, Dad is in the Navy and was unable to witness the birth of their son M, which made this Birth Story that much more exciting.
